Who is the target audience for this application, Grocery Guru?

Everyone! (As long as you eat food) Anyone can use this application, as our target audience is anyone that buy's groceries, like working adults, parents, teenagers, elderly folks, literally anyone! The entire purpose of this application is to simplify the task of grocery shopping, and having a wide audience allows us to expand this prototype into a product. There are no limitations as to who can use Grocery Guru, it's organised and easy to use and understand.

If I change brands, will that mean I will have to change my inventory?

No, that is not needed as of now. This is because the application just doesn't directly focus on expiry dates, due to different products having different shelf life. Our expiry date works as a recommend length or time that the food could last, based on how much you consume. Your inventory can remain the same, essentially highlighting that this app is adaptable to changes in brand choice. Whatever the brand might be, bread is bread.

What are your future plans to expand this prototype product?

I plan on expanding the services this product has, and it can shift its focus towards automatic delivery and purchase in countries with quick commerce like India. I also plan on increasing the number of items you could have in your inventory, (we don't have only 10 groceries). I could work on this by implementing a barcode, notification, and a database system. The notification system can essentially reduce the food wastage habits due to expiry of food.

Do I have to edit my inventory every time I make a meal?

No, that is not the case with this application. All you have to do is enter the ingredients you need and how much of each item you require. The application will check your inventory and update it based on your past purchases or usage. It keeps track of this by maintaining a database, so the tedious task of maintaining a grocery list is gone, and there is no need to constantly update your inventory, only once when you create an account.
